Jira Cloud Integration

The Jira Cloud integration allows users to create new Jira issues for issues detected by DeepSource on your codebase.

Installing

To install the Jira Cloud integration follow these steps:

  1. Go to your team Home from the sidebar, navigate to the Settings tab and select Integrations.
  2. Click on the Jira Cloud card.
  3. Click on Install integration. This will take you to Jira's authorization page.
  4. In the authorization page select the Atlassian Jira site you'd like to install this app to and click on Accept.
  5. Select the Atlassian site, Default project & Default issue type and click on Install integration.

Creating an issue on Jira

To create an issue on Jira:

  1. In the Issues tab on the repository page select an issue.
  2. In the top right, you'll see Create issue button. Click on the dropdown and select Create issue on Jira
  3. On success, you'll see a toast on the bottom right with a button to Open issue on Jira.

Setting different issue config for specific Repositories

To change the Jira issue config for a specific Repository:

  1. Go to your repository's settings and select Integrations in the settings sidebar.
  2. Select the Jira Cloud card.
  3. Change the issue config for this repository.

Uninstalling

To uninstall the integration:

  1. Go to your team settings from you sidebar and navigate to the Integrations tab.
  2. Click on the Jira Cloud card.
  3. Click on the Uninstall Jira Cloud button. A pop up should open confirming your action. Click on Yes, uninstall Jira Cloud to uninstall the integration.
